Steps to perform Xmas Song

This is from Ananova: Steps to perform ‘Christmas single’ at Prom in the Park Steps are to perform a new track, Words Are Not Enough, at the CBBC Prom in the Park. The track is rumoured to be the group’s Christmas single. It will also feature on the group’s greatest-hits collection Gold, which is released on October 15. The CBBC Prom in the Park takes place on September 16 in London’s Hyde Park. I thought I’d post this, from Yahoo: Pete Waterman says the Hear’Say bubble has burst. The band who went to number one after winning the Popstars TV show, have had disappointing ticket sales for their first UK tour. Most of the remaining dates, which end on September 29, have not sold out. Waterman, who masterminded the success of Kylie Minogue, Steps and Rick Astley, told The Sun: “It was inevitable the bubble would burst. “It couldn’t last because the band is not real. They are not musically driven – they come from a TV show. Because everyone saw how they were formed, there is no intrigue. “They had incredible initial success but that was on the back of a popular television programme. “It would be impossible to recreate that success – they could only ever go backwards.” But Hear’Say say ticket sales for their tour do not mean their popularity is already on the wane. A spokesman said: “They had loads of shows and in some cities they are doing seven gigs. We had to add extra because there was such a high demand. “Eighty-five per cent of the tickets have been sold and we’re confident the rest will go.”
