The Lisa story from the 18 June has now had a response from a Steps spokesperson. This is from Channel 4 Text:

A particularly incorrect piece of journalism. “Lisa is somewhat confused by this story,” he says. “She doesn’t even own a computer, so it’d be tricky to send her any emails.”

GenSTEPS has an exclusive on US news. We have received a lot of emails recently from concerned US fans about Steps’ lack of success, promotion and general visiting to the US. We have received information that might give an idea on what might be happening:

We have been made aware that Tim Byrne (Steps’ manager) was in the US yesterday (20 June) at Jive HQ in New York. He was in a meeting with Jive Records’ A&R people discussing the new Steps album and their future in the US.

Unfortuately we know nothing more than that and have no clue on any possible outcomes, if we hear anything we’ll keep you posted of course!
