Firstly we would like to thank UK Music Website Dotmusic. They have made GenSTEPS their website for the week! Winning accolades like this just makes our job a little easier as we know what we are doing is being recognised by the people in the industry. This accolade goes along with our mentions in UK Computer Magazines and National Newspapers along with International TV Stations. Thanks to everyone for your support and to Dotmusic again for recognising the hard work we do to bring you this website!

Our prediction of a new single in October seems to be correct. Steps are playing the London Club G-A-Y on 14 October 2000. They traditionally play the venue before releasing a new single and album. Pop stars Steps, Westlife, S Club 7, Billie Piper, Mel B and Louise are all taking part in Party At The Pier 2000 in Liverpool later this month. The annual pop festival is organised by Liverpool’s Radio City 96.7 and takes place at Kings Dock on Bank Holiday Monday (28 August). The acts will be introduced by ‘Brookside’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ actors and Liverpool and Everton football players. Other artists set to play include Boyzone member Stephen Gately, Alice Deejay, Precious, The Honeyz, Sonique, Madasun, Lolly, Damage, Scooch and Atomic Kitten. Tickets cost £7 and are available from Liverpool’s Virgin Megastore. Profits from the show will be donated to local charity Give A Child A Chance and Nordoff-Robins Music Therapy. (Source: Dotmusic)

Five have been in the papers loads recently, are you a bit sick of all the rumours that are going around? Ritchie: There are a lot of rumours going around, especially this thing with Steps. Speaking for myself, I’ve got no problem with Steps, I really would not buy their music and they’re not for me, but as people I’ve got no problem with them. Well, maybe one … But they’re cool, and there’s no feud going on. (Source: Worldpop)
