News on Steps next UK single release! Currently unconfirmed and unnamed, it is due for release on 21 June 1999. I know nothing more than this, sorry! This is from Dotmusic:

Steps look set to stage the biggest pop arena tour the UK has yet seen, after adding extra dates to their autumn shows. Tickets originally went on sale for six dates but a further 15 have now been added and the tour is expected to reach 33 shows within weeks.

Ticket sales are said to be well in excess of 200,000.

Paul Fitzgerald, director of Steps’ agent Concorde International Artistes — which also handles Boyzone, All Saints, Prodigy, B*Witched and 911 — says: “It’s unbelievable. Cabaret is the new rock and roll. It’s certainly bigger than any tour by Boyzone or even Take That in their heyday. We put more tickets on sale last Thursday and 30,000 were sold in a day.”

The tour currently runs from 22 October to 7 November, and then from 27 November to mid-December.

Interview CD latest: It will be available exclusively in the UK in Woolworths from 17 May priced at £6.99. The CD will also be available in Belgium in the retail store Free. It will also be available from the Megaworld website, more details closer to the release date.
