Here are a couple of news stories from Ananova – it seems the Steps Fun Day is now making news headlines! :o)
Steps, A1 and Damage have joined the line-up for the International Festival of Musical Theatre. The bands will perform hit songs from musicals at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on October 20. They join Atomic Kitten, Russell Watson and Charlotte Church at the family event. The event is being staged in association with the Red Hot Aids Charitable Trust.
It is organised by Ultravox frontman Midge Ure, who helped Bob Geldof stage Live Aid in 1985. It is hoped the event will raise thousands of pounds for the work of non-governmental organisations all over the world to halt the spread of Aids.
Steps fans have organised a special day devoted to the band at the Legoland theme park in Berkshire.
The band will not be present but the event will include Steps video playbacks, a karaoke event, competitions and a buffet. Steps singer Lisa has told organisers she has 25 signed T-shirts to give away as prizes and will try to collect some autographed pictures. The Steps fan day will take place on August 25.
