“Details for Steps’ next single Summer of Love/When I Said Goodbye have now been finalised. It is all set to hit the stores on 3 July. The video for When I Said Goodbye is already proving very popular on the music channel the Box, and the video for Summer Of Love will be filmed this week.

Incidentally the single will be released on the usual CD single and cassette single formats and comes with a storming remix of Summer Of Love by Work In Progress. PWL are also in the middle of writing some new songs for inclusion on Steps’ third album (penciled in for an October 2000 release), and the Step-tastic fivesome will be at PWL during July to record them! A single to promote release of the album will also be issued in the Autumn. (Source: PWL-Empire)

“Popular on the music channel the Box”… could have fooled me! Steps move up one place on this week’s Box Chart from number 15 to number 14 with When I Said Goodbye. It seems that most people want to see the Summer Of Love video, which is extremely understandable. This makes Steps the #2 position (somehow) in the Breaking Out Of The Box chart.
