Pop favourites Westlife and Steps will be among stars performing at a television awards show. S Club 7, Stephen Gately, Billie Piper and Dane Bowers will also be appearing at the October event. Teen magazine TV Hits has organised the show following the success of their debut awards ceremony last year.

On the UK Charts front it’s good news on the music videos chart as The Next Step – Live moves up six places to sit at number one yet again. Their first long play video also moves up two places to number 20. Keep an eye out on your TV as The Next Step tour makes a few appearances, for full details see the events page.

H is going back to his redcoat roots when Steps appear at Butlins Minehead on November 17 2000. Five and Atomic Kitten headline a weekend festival on 24-27 November. (I guess it’s at the same venue!)
