Stomp heading for #1

Posted on

Steps look set to take the UK Number One position this weekend, when their new single ‘Stomp’ displaces U2 at the chart summit.
According to midweek figures, ‘Stomp’, with around 13,000 sales, has sold almost twice U2’s ‘Beautiful Day’, which became the Irish rock superstars first Number One in three years last Sunday.
Blur look set for disappointment though, with their new single ‘Music Is My Rader’ expected to enter the charts at Number Three, marginally ahead of Kylie and Robbie’s duet ‘Kids’, at Number Four.
Other new entries in the Top Twenty are expected to include ‘Body II Body’ by Samantha Mumba, ‘Sunset (Bird Of Prey)’, by Fatboy Slim at nine, ‘Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad’ at sixteen and David Gray’s ‘Please Forgive Me’ at seventeen. (Source: Dotmusic)
