We’ve been lucky enough to have got hold of four songs from the new album, Buzz, Happy Go Lucky, Never Get Over You & Paradise Lost. Firstly I will not be giving these sound files out to anyone so don’t e-mail me and ask! All four songs are very different to what you would usually expect from STEPS. Lisa’s solo of the last tour, Never Get Over You has been completely re-worked and the beginning is not so different from the recent number one hit for Melanie C I Turn To You, but that doesn’t stop it being an excellent dance track! The other three songs are “Ace Of Base” sounding. Some more than others but on Happy Go Lucky there is a trademark slow piece and big beat to start the song again that has become typical sounding with Max Martin, one of the songs also seems to have a build up to the world-wide smash hit Thong Song! The four clips that I have heard already say to me that this album is the best that STEPS have produced to date and with a more-wider sound should break into more countries around the world, and hopefully the US market! I can’t wait to hear the other eleven tracks on the album, I am sure they will be just as great as the four I’ve heard! Although the writers can’t be confirmed until the full album hits the shops on October 30th, More on the new album on Wednesday or Thursday this week!

STEPS are on Next Weeks Smash Hits TV (Sky One, 6pm Saturday, repeated 5pm Sunday)
