At this years Brit Awards (16 Feb) Steps will be performing an ABBA tribute. Talking to BBC’s The Net, H says that the plan is being kept practically under wraps at the moment. “It’s a big medley. There’s a big surprise at the end. There’s not just us doing it – there’s a few groups doing it, so it’s going to be fun.” ABBA themselves have been asked to play. Steps say that they are flattered to be compared to ABBA but say is was never intentional.

“There hasn’t been a band around like Abba for decades. I love Abba, so I take it as a compliment,” Says Lisa. “But we never set out to sound like them. There are a few similarities, but that’s because we have mixed vocals. And there isn’t another boy-girl group to compare us to.”
