Steps planning winter tour

This was reported yesterday by Annonova, thanks to Jenni for pointing it out.

Steps to do UK stadium tour at end of year. Steps have reportedly been offered £2.3 million to do a new 25-date UK tour. The stadium tour will run from November until the end of the year, according to the Sunday People.
To end rumours last month that the band were to split, they promised fans they were planning a tour towards the end of the year. A record company insider said: “It’s too good a deal to turn down. It’ll be hard work, but they’ve done tours like this before.”

25 dates would be about right for a Steps tour as they don’t do small tours anymore!

Dotmusic is reporting about Lee’s stint in ITV’s Crossroads:

Lee from Steps is to become the first celebrity to check into the Crossroads motel since it re-launched.
Lee, a fan of the show, is the only member of the group to appear on screen although all five are featured in the script.
Two episodes this week will feature the pop giants being surrounded by paparazzi who discover that they are staying at Crossroads while they play a concert nearby.
A spokesman for the show said: “Crossroads has a lot of appeal among the teenage audience and as far as pop goes Steps are the top of the tree, so obviously we were delighted when Lee agreed to take part in programme.”

Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me about the Almighty Remixes. Sophie and Neil have told me that they have remixed both Here & Now and You’ll Be Sorry. Keep an eye out for those remixes as they are supposed to be great!

Thanks to Derek who tells us that Steps appear on the new Now 48 compilation CD released in the UK this coming Monday. Steps are on track 12 on CD1. Other artists on the CD include Hear’Say, S Club 7, Atomic Kitten and Emma Bunton.
