After coming third in last year’s Record Of The Year list with One For Sorrow, Steps have been ignored this year and did not even make the shortlist of 20. Due to this, it means we have to vote for someone else (if we want to of course!).

My vote would have to go to either Britney Spears – …Baby One More Time (Max Martin), which really is the record of 1999 selling 120,000 copies in just two days, having over 33,000 requests on The Box, and clocking up total sales of 1.4 million (2x Platinum).

Also I would have to vote for Jennifer Lopez – If You Had My Love (Rodney Jerkins / L. Daniels / C. Rooney) because it’s just a great song.
