One cleared, one to go

Firstly on the GenSTEPS 4 front. We have now finally completed the pictures section which means we only have one big section to finish – the reviews pages. All should be ready soon, hopefully just into April. I’ll keep everyone posted on this. We received two news stories yesterday, we are still working out one of them but we have had one cleared up for us. The American release of Buzz which was set for April 3rd has been moved. So for everyone who was asking the current US release date for Buzz is now August 21st which is only 4 1/2 months from the original release date so you’ll have to wait a little longer but you now it will be worth you’re wait! This is from NME: Members of boyband DAMAGE, LEE LATCHFORD-EVANS from STEPS, NAIMA BELKHIATI from HONEYZ, R&B guru TREVOR NELSON and a number of UK soap opera stars attended the premiere of ‘SAVE THE LAST DANCE’ in LONDON last night (March 20). Also in attendance at the Coronet Cinema in Notting Hill were the film’s stars, the rising rapper Fredo Starr, Sean Patrick Thomas and Julia Stiles. Described as a hip hop ballet, the film charts the inter-racial relationship between Thomas and Stiles set against Chicago’s club-scene. It has met with lukewarm reviews in the US, where it opened in January. Following the premiere, Nelson performed a DJ set, while Starr entertained the guests with a PA set at an aftershow at the London Subterania. The film will be released in the UK on March 30. Meanwhile, in related film news, ‘Exit Wounds’, the new feature starring hip hop superstar DMX and hardman actor Steven Seagal, is currently Number One in the US box office, having lifted $19 million receipts last weekend. The soundtrack for ‘Exit Wounds’, featuring, amongst others DMX himself, Nas, Redman, Ja Rule and Memphis Bleek, is released on March 30 through Virgin
