Australia news, Here & Now / You’ll Be Sorry is out now on July 2nd and the album Buzz is due on August 6th 2001! Steps(ish) news, Faye mentioned they worked with Max Martin for their album Buzz but the tracks never surfaced, more reason to use him again, as reported by Worldpop; Max Martin, the super-producer who penned Baby One More Time for Britney Spears and I Want It That Way for Backstreet Boys, has been honoured with a songwriter of the year award. This is the third year running that Martin has picked up the prestigious award at the American songwriters’ publishing organisation ASCAP’s annual Pop Music Awards. This year’s event was held at the Beverley Hills Hilton with a gala evening paying tribute to songwriters and publishers who had the most performed songs during 2000. Martin shared the top prize with Andreas Carlsson. Other winners included Diane Warren, Desmond Child, Timbaland and T-Boz.
