Lee Latchford Evans has appeared at the launch of an honourable three year partnership between Boots the Chemists and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The partnership aims to improve the availability of cancer care and advice, by training healthcare staff in Boots’ 2,500 stores and pharmacies.

Boots have already demonstrated their committment to cancer care, by offering cancer treating medicines to people with prescriptions at the trade cost, rather than making a profit on the medicines which often cost thousands of pounds.

290,000 in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every year. Boots colleagues have pledged to walk a mile each with the fundraising campaign ‘Miles for Macmillan’, to raise awareness of the new partnership.

Of all the charitable causes to be involved in, this is one which could genuinely touch the lives of every single one of us. Thank you Boots, Macmillan Cancer Support, and thank you Lee.
