Faye ‘numb and betrayed’ by split

Posted on

I’m still getting lots of e-mails about this site and its future. We have future plans for the site, I am currently waiting to see what they come out like, but for the meantime at least we aren’t going anywhere.

Here are some news stores, again none of them are anything that we don’t already know…

This is from Yahoo News:

As former Steps member Lisa recovers from the shock split of the group, she can probably dedicate more time to managing her brothers’ pop outfit 3SL. The trio – Steve (22), Andy (20) and Ant (18) – will be special guests on the S Club 7 Tour in January and February. The boys, who picked up their first award for Best New Tour Act at the 2001 Smash Hits Poll Winners party, follow the dates with the release of their debut single Take It Easy in April through Sony. The tour starts on 30 January in Dublin and includes shows at Manchester Evening News Arena on 5 and 6 February, Wembley Arena (15, 16 and 17 February) and Glasgow SECC (19 and 20 February).

From Dotmusic:

Steps’ Faye Tozer has said she feels “numb and betrayed” by the break up of the band. Despite denying rumours for the majority of 2001, the chart-topping act announced their split on Boxing Day but insisted they were still “great friends”. Singer Faye, has since told a UK tabloid that she was shocked at the split: “I just can’t believe it has happened. One minute we were about to go on stage and the next Claire and H had quit the band.” According to the paper, the band made the decision to split on the Friday before Christmas when singer Claire Richards handed over a letter of resignation.

Please remember that there is still a lot of news around at this moment which is false. I think it is fair to say that no-one has any real idea what to believe or what not to believe at this moment, and unless we get some sort of statement from Jive and everyone involved with Steps we probably won’t ever know.
