Editorial, Faye to Marry? Sister2Sister to support? French CD
Another month goes by and still STEPS aren’t doing much in the world of planet pop. It seems that during the recording they are taking a well earned break also getting ready to what seems to be a worldwide promotional push for their new album. I won’t expect any news of any single for a while yet until the new Spice songs have clamed down so that they don’t get lost in the media frenzy which is bound to follow. GenSTEPS 4 has once again been redesigned, we should really call it GenSTEPS version 5 really but that will just confuse matters. We will get back to work on a new version shortly. Also watch out for new sites coming to our family of sites to cater for even more of your favourite acts and if you are a fan of the Spice Girls you can find their new single on our Spice site Thursday Morning, probably one of the first places on the Web to get it up! I’ll keep this short as it is six days late! I hope everyone who has gone back to school has a good year especially those taking exams at the end of this year!
This news story was taken from the News Of The World:
FAYE READY TO TAKE BIG STEP
She doesn’t want anyone to know and she’ll no doubt deny it – but Steps singer Faye Tozer is all geared up to wed her long – term boyfriend Jasper , who’s the drummer in Dutch Band Monkey. Saucy Faye – who has had her nipples pierced especially for Jasper – has being telling her close friends that the engaged couple (another story she denied) want to get hitched before the Band kick off their tour in November. A source close to the couple said : ” They’re practically married anyway. They live together in north – west London and have been seeing each other for three years.” The source added : “The pair will delay the honeymoon until the tour finishes at Christmas.”
The Response: Steps’ PR laughed with much derision, before saying: “Nobody should know about these things – Faye’s friends, management or indeed Faye – has heard anything about any wedding.”
A few people have e-mailed me about the Sister2Sister Box Talk on The Box. During of which they say:
“We had a great time touring with Five around the UK. We played Wembley four times. We’re really looking forward to touring with Steps and Britney.”
Thanks to Yann Suire for sending in this French news! I just wanted to tell you that Steps’ “Tragedy” and “Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart” are included in French compilations which are in good places… in certain shops, these compilations are number One !!
If you are looking for a Christmas present for a STEPS fan you may have noticed that they are a number of STEPS watches and clocks on the market now, they are reasonably priced and are available at many popular high street stores!
This was sent in to me, presumably from a Scooch mailing list, in the e-mail it goes on to say:
” By the way there is absolutely no rivalry between us and steps, let us just make that clear. We respect Steps and love their music loads and they have something really unique. We are not trying to take that from them.” So there you have it ……….
