Geri should really take a leaf out of Steps’ book. The hit machines could give her valuable lessons in the fine line between sickly and special and how to skilfully negotiate the narrow path that divides the weak and worthy. This double A-side features the lighter-brandishing ballad ‘Words Are Not Enough’ and the cover of the musical standard ‘I Knew Him So Well’ (famously recorded by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson). It’s not Steps’ best release but then again they are currently setting the standard in pop. (3.5 out of 5)
