Steps in 2020

I would like to clear something up as I’ve had lots of e-mails about this!
Dotmusic and Steps Official have both said that Steps have gone 2x Platinum with Gold. The Official site also went to to say they have sold 600,000 copies – which is not true. Gold has sold around 363,000 copies NOT 600,000 as being claimed. UK certifications are on the amount shipped by Jive (or whoever publishes for them in the UK) to the record stores, so over 600,000 copies of the album have been shipped to the shops for people to buy! I’m sure 600,000 isn’t far off if the sales continue as they are – but Steps have yet to pass 600,000 sales for Gold! :o)

As I and probably most of you where expecting, Steps have dropped to number three on the early sales charts for this week. Westlife have only sold about 51,000 copies :o| Steps are at #3 with around 13,000 sold, Madonna is #2 with sales just under the 20,000 mark

I think Ananova reported on this before, but today they reported:

Atomic Kitten and Hear’Say are to feature in regional concerts for this year’s Children In Need event. Top chart acts have been lined up to play shows in Leicester, Portsmouth and Doncaster. Artists on the bill also include Louise, Steps, A1 and Samantha Mumba. Josy D’Arby, Katy Hill and Philippa Forrester will be presenting the shows from 7pm onwards on Friday.

The full show details include:
Leicester – Atomic Kitten and Louise
Portsmouth – Hear’Say and Steps
Doncaster – A1, Samantha Mumba and Liberty

Further information is available from the official Children In Need website.

Hear’Say & Steps on the same bill – Interesting … hehe ;o)
