More on Lisa’s new deal
From ‘The Sun’
TALK about re-inventing yourself. LISA SCOTT-LEE has well and truly left behind cheesy popsters STEPS – by signing a £250,000 record deal with hard-core dance label Ministry Of Sound.
Lisa was dropped by Mercury Records in February this year after being a solo flop.
But that didn’t put Ministry off and she has already recorded her debut single for the label.
She teamed up with the INTENSO PROJECT – BEN OFOEDU who was formerly with PHATS & SMALL – for the track, called Get It On.
It is due to hit stores on November 15. Lisa will then begin work on a solo album which should be out early next year.
Ministry are flavour of the month. Their act ERIC PRYDZ started his third week at No1 in the singles chart yesterday with Call On Me.
Lisa, married to HEAR’SAY replacement JOHNNY SHENTALL, was given the heave-ho by Mercury after poor sales.
Her last single, Too Far Gone, failed to make the Top 10.
But she is still the most successful of her old bandmates IAN “H” WATKINS, CLAIRE RICHARDS, FAYE TOZER and LEE LATCHFORD-EVANS.
