On Week 45 of the UK chart, STEPS’ new album Buzz entered the chart at number 4. The album has been certified 1x platinum in just a week showing UK shipments over over 300,000 copies! Also their single Stomp dropped down to number 10. On the Video chart the new STEPS home video featuring the Wembley concert entered the chart at number 1! With the last tour video at number 27! This isn’t truly STEPS related but I think that we all know what is happening next week in the album chart. Both the Spice Girls and Westlife both bring out their new albums tomorrow. In the pop world this is probably the biggest battle for ages, its not too dissimliar to the Blur & Oasis single battle way back in 1995. Who will win? Its a tough one to call I hope Spice win as it will prove to Westlife that they aren’t invincible but as the Spice Girls have had to promote their album across the globe and Westlife haven’t and therefore had the opportunity to perform like five songs from the album on TV here in the UK it seems that on the promotional front they have the edge …
