The Next Step was Steps' second tour and was at the time the biggest UK pop tour in history. The tour premiered some tracks from the group's second Steptacular including When I Said Goodbye, Deeper Shade Of Blue and Say You'll Be Mine. The 31 October show added a one-off performance of Ghostbusters, was broadcast live on Sky Box Office, and later released on home video. The tour performance of Better The Devil You Know was released as a music video.
