Powerpodz Popstars were collectible figurines sold inside a chocolate shell. Following the success of the football-themed Microstars, manufacturer Corinthian released the Popstars range of Popwerpodz. As well as the members of Steps, pop groups A1, 5ive and Hear'say were collectable as Powerpodz figurines. A rating was printed on the base of each character made up of stats such as "tickets" and "albums" to allow Top Trumps-style gameplay with the figurines. They came with different colour bases including red, white, green, blue, bronze silver and gold - with the latter being the most rare. The range was sold with the tagline "Pop A Hero In Your Hand".
