Baby Don't Dance is the Steps single that never was. The song was originally going to be released as a single in February 2002, concluding the Gold Greatest Hits era (2001), but the group split in December 2001.
In 2002, the track reappeared as a single to be released alongside The Last Dance (2002) album after Steps had split. Promotional copies of Baby Don't Dance were sent to DJs, radio stations and retailers in 2002, and a music video from the Gold Greatest Hits tour was played on MTV Hits - before the single release was cancelled at short notice. Copies of the single occasionally appear on online auction websites.
